Anna Paquin

Anna Paquin, a Canadian-New Zealander actor. She was born in Winnipeg and raised in Wellington Paquin was able to make her acting debut portraying Flora McGrath in the romantic drama film The Piano for which she won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress at age 11 and was the 2nd youngest recipient in Oscar history. Anna Paquin full name Anna Helene Paquin was born on July 24 the 24th of July, 1982 Winnipeg Manitoba Canada. Canadian-born New Zealand actor who won the Academy Award as a youngster for Best Supporting Actress for acting as the bright and interesting girl who played Holly Hunter's lead part on the film The Piano. The part as Flora McGrath - the daughter of a Scottish mute pianist in New Zealand at mid-19th Century was hers at an open audition. In her twenties her age, she was a novice or had any experience in acting. As a teenager she emigrated to the United States. Paquin played Jane Eyre's protagonist as a teen in Franco Zeffirelli's Jane Eyre (2000) as well as the main role for the character in Fly Away Home (2000). Paquin appeared as Frankie Addams in a 1997 television movie adaptation of Carson McCullers' novel The Member of the Wedding as well as a small role as Queen of Spain in Steven Spielberg's Amistad (1997). The actress played teens in the films of Hurlyburly (1998), She's All That (2000), A Walk on the Moon (2000) as well as in the role of Polexia Aphrodisa groupie as part of Almost Famous (2000).
